We will sound even better this afternoon

CFAR has been broadcasting on the AM dial since November 14th, 1937.  After 76 years Station Owner Tom O’Brien says it was decided to expand our signal to include 102.9 FM.  He says the biggest difference that people are going to notice is the quality of the sound, of the music, of everything that comes out of their radio.  He adds FM is just a superior product, it has more fidelity and more range and that will be by far the biggest thing.

CFAR will officially switch on the FM signal at 1:02 this afternoon but will continue to broadcast at 590 AM for listeners outside the range of the FM signal.
