The work of Lions Clubs is important to the community

At their 60th annual Charter Night the Flin Flon Lions Club hosted their District Governor Lloyd McCabe from the Brandon Wheat City Lions Club. McCabe congratulated the Club on their anniversary calling it a legacy that will live on forever.  He spoke on the International President’s theme while praising clubs for the work they do.  He says whenever a Lions Club get together problems get smaller and communities get better because they help when help is needed in our communities and the world around us with unmatched integrity and energy.  He adds as their International President Barry Palmer says follow your dreams and they are here to serve.

McCabe says Lions Clubs need to attract younger members so they can continue to work individually and collectively into the future.  He presented the Governor’s Award pin to Roger and Rena Poirier, Andy Stewart and Monica Lone.  Membership pins were presented with the highest going to Andy Stewart for 43 years as a Lion.
