Saskatchewan residents can nominate a volunteer from your community for the Volunteer Medal. The province’s Chief of Protocol Jason Quilliam says the province is full of talented and dedicated volunteers who come from many different walks of life and backgrounds and they’ve done some great things to make our lives better so anyone who’s really done anything to help out a community in terms of volunteerism is welcome to be nominated for this award.
Nomination forms are available on their website www.ops.gov.sk.ca and click on volunteer medal or call them at 1-877-427-5505. The deadline is October 18th. Since its inception in 1995 156 people have received the medal.
