Around 1:30 Tuesday morning Pelican Narrows RCMP and Fire Department were called to a house fire.  An elderly couple was able to escape from the residence unharmed and it was believed their 10 year old great granddaughter had made it out as well.  The residence burned to the ground and remains believed to be the child were found in the debris later in the morning.

An investigation team from Emergency Management and Fire Safety attended.  The remains have been transported to City Hospital in Saskatoon for autopsy. The child’s name is not being released at this time and the investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
