At their last meeting Flin Flon City Council extended the sewer backup subsidy program that now applies to Flin Flon Manitoba residents to Flin Flon Saskatchewan residents allowing them to apply for a 25 percent rebate from the city for installing sump pumps and backup valves.  This program has run in conjunction with the Manitoba government’s program but since there is no similar program in Saskatchewan only the city’s portion will apply to the Saskatchewan residents.  This issue results from concerns about sewer backup problems raised by South Hudson residents at the previous Council meeting.
