Flowers are coming up all over Flin Flon

Members of the Flin Flon Horticultural Society and other volunteers planted flowers around the city last week.  President Harry Antoniw says they planted 940 dozen or just over 11 thousand flowers.  He says the big plots are at the Museum, the Gordon Grindle Memorial Garden and at the zoo and there are other plots that are smaller across from Northland Ford and also uptown at the Duck Pond and the only thing left is a few planters at the cemeteries.

Antoniw says one of the biggest jobs was planting about 300 dozens at the Steelworkers Memorial next to the Victoria Inn.  He adds they had great support from volunteers who came out to help plant each day.
