Communities in our area will benefit from recent government grants

The Manitoba Government has announced the latest round of grants from their Community Places North Program.  In this area the Cranberry Portage Heritage Museum received 25 thousand dollars for phase two of museum restoration and the Town of Snow Lake 65 thousand dollars for arena roof repairs.

Northern and remote communities can now apply for the next round of grants under the Community Places North Program to improve recreational and community facilities.  Program criteria calls for applicants to be northern or remote communities located north of the 53rd parallel excluding The Pas, Thompson and Flin Flon.  Grants of up to 75 thousand dollars are available with no requirement of matching funds.
