Traffic will flow in spite of highway construction south of The Pas

Transportation Minister Steve Ashton reports construction on a stretch of highway ten south of The Pas has started and will improve safety for motorists and commercial vehicles.

Ashton says construction will be done by Mulder Construction and Materials at a cost of six million dollars.  It will cover a distance of 15 kilometers from the Overflowing River to 10 kilometers south of highway 60 and will include repaving of the road surface.  Highway ten will be down to one lane at times during construction with flag people and signs in place to guide motorists.  The project is expected to be completed by the end of this construction season weather permitting.
