The Co-op had a great year last year.

              General Manager Tom Therien told the North of 53 Co-op 68th annual meeting last night they had record sales last year of almost 25 million dollars, local savings of almost 866 thousand dollars, a Federated Co-operative patronage refund in excess of 1 million dollars and net savings of about 1.9 million all records for the Co-op. He said the success is attributed to both the food and petroleum operations.

              The Board authorized cash repayment to members of just over 529 thousand dollars from an allocation of 4 percent on food and 7.75 percent or 8.33 cents per litre on petroleum with cheques available in the store starting today.

              Three Directors, Dave Kendall, Rob Schiefele and Linda Clark were re-elected to the Board by acclamation for three year terms.
