Residents in Lynn Lake still have some transportation options even though the remote community announced it will close the doors of their only airport.  Two Lynn Lake operators have been granted scheduled intercity bus operating authorities from the Motor Transportation Board.  Sno Ventures began operating twice weekly last fall with a return service from Lynn Lake to Thompson and has now been expanded to three times weekly.  Marcel Colomb First Nation has also been granted an operating authority.  They plan to operate six times per week return service Monday to Saturday between Lynn Lake and Thompson with a stop in Leaf Rapids.
