April is Oral Heath Month. Bruce Krentz from the Northern Health Region says our children’s dental care should start as soon as their first tooth appears.

 Krentz explains there’s a program Healthy Smile Healthy Child available in Manitoba that has been going on for a little while highlighting oral health for kids and it really sets you on a good path for life.  He says there’s simple things you can do so brush your child’s teeth twice a day and help them brush their teeth until they’re eight, that’s what these guys are recommending.

Other tips include avoid giving your children sugary drinks like juice and sodas and taking your child to the dentist around the time of their first birthday.
