The Earth is Struggling to Survive.

The Central Canada Film Group is taking part in National Film Day tomorrow.  The group’s Tom Heine says this is a Canada wide event that shows Canadian films and they are showing Anthropocene A Human Epoch.  He explains most people know the geological history of the world has been split up into various groups and eras and we are now in possibly the largest mass extinction event that we know about and it’s basically due to human interactions with the environment. He adds we’re degrading the environment, there are too many of us and the movie is basically an essay about what we’ve done to the surface of the planet.

This film will be shown tomorrow night at 7:30 in the Hapnot Collegiate Theatre.  Admission is free but a silver collection will take place to cover some of the expenses in getting this movie.
