The Manitoba government has launched a new Building Sustainable Communities Program that will streamline and modernize grant support to non-profit organizations.
The new $7.9-million program replaces seven legacy grant programs.
Eligible applicants for the new program include non-profit organizations, charitable organizations, municipalities, and Northern Affairs Community Councils. The program will provide a maximum provincial contribution of up to 50 per cent of total eligible project costs to a maximum grant of $75,000.
The new program will have two intakes per year at set times, successful applications will need to demonstrate how their projects provide an overall positive benefit for their community and partnerships are encouraged.
