The RCMP in Manitoba have partnered with the Moose Hide Campaign and launched a month long, province-wide effort to help reduce, and one day end violence towards women and children.

Until October 17th RCMP detachments across the province will be holding community events to raise awareness about gender-based violence and while the campaign targets men and boys, everyone is encouraged to participate.

Support for the Moose Hide Campaign is demonstrated by wearing a moose hide square which signifies ones commitment to honour, respect and protect the women and children in their life and to work together to end violence against women and children.

More information about the Moose Hide Campaign can be found online at www.moosehidecampaign.ca.
