The President of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce attended the Northern Chambers meeting held in Flin Flon Saturday.  Chuck Davidson says it’s important for them to get a sense of what some of the issues Chambers are dealing with in Northern Manitoba and what the provincial body can do to see that they’re addressed.  He says there was a lot of discussion Saturday about economic development which obviously is a key pillar and a key challenge in northern Manitoba so a lot of those discussion took place in terms of we need to press the government to make sure that northern economic development continues to be a priority for them and that they understand the importance of northern Manitoba on the Manitoba economy.

Davidson adds regional meetings are held to make sure the provincial body remains connected to the seventy Chambers across the province and their concerns and to find some common goals as well.
