Community Futures Greenstone includes Flin Flon, Cranberry Portage, Snow Lake and Sherridon.  They have an eleven member Board made up of representatives from these communities and offer business support and business financing to the communities. 

             

Manager Becky Cianflone reported their 2017-18 year went well. She said they are dedicated to helping communities, local governments and volunteer groups in obtaining what they need to be successful in their projects.  She added for the year the Board identified three strategic goal areas including development and promotion of tourism, entrepreneurial culture and youth that includes programs to expose children to business concepts at an early age and effective loan management.

             

During the year they distributed four loans totaling just over 369 thousand dollars, 101 in depth services were provided for individuals requiring technical and advisory services, they had 325 training session participants and in a typical month provided services to 8 to 9 business clients.

             

Tom Therien will continue as Board Chair, Cathy Fidierchuk Vice Chair and Cal Huntley Secretary Treasurer.
