Branding involves developing an image to promote what a community has to offer to attract people and economic development to the community.  Tourism Manitoba began the process by meeting with stakeholders from Flin Flon , Creighton and Denare Beach and then retained McKim Communications to develop a place brand. The CEO of Tourism Manitoba Colin Ferguson says people should be coming here as it’s a gorgeous community, it has some great assets, it’s got incredible nature but there’s a lot of people in Winnipeg or other parts of Manitoba or the world who have no idea what Flin Flon is, what it stands for or what it’s got.

             

 The brand is Flin Flon The Water and The Wild with the color and flow of the graphic emphasizing the water and natural surroundings supporting the tag line The Water and The Wild.  Tourism Manitoba will continue to work with a group of local volunteers in developing a marketing strategy around the new brand.
