Local Fishermen Can Be Part of a Television Show.

At their meeting Tuesday night Flin Flon City Council agreed to spend 35 hundred dollars to be part of Conquest Outback Productions Dimestore Fishermen outdoor television program.  Mayor Cal Huntley noted there will be an opportunity for local fishermen to be part of the production taking the hosts to fishing spots.  The city will also be able to post the video on their web page.  Councilor Colleen McKee added it’s a great way to promote our community.

Council also passed an amendment to the Traffic Bylaw to allow the Citizens on Patrol to place their speed reader trailer at various locations around the community. Council again thanked local fire fighters for the work in installing all the Christmas light at the Station Museum.

And Mayor Huntley says Council has no position yet on a letter from their last meeting from Spencer Payson of Payson’s Smoke N’ Vape asking for their support in applying for a licence to sell cannabis at the retail level.  He says they still have questions that need answering such as what regulations will apply to the handling of the marijuana once it has been purchased at the retail level.
