The Provincial Fire Center Manager for Saskatchewan Dennis Trueman says crews continue to fight three of the larger fires in the Creighton Denare Beach area.  He says they’ve got the Wilken fire which is north of Jan Lake and it’s approximately 700 hectares at this time, they’ve got the Granite Fire west of Granite Lake which is approximately 800 hectares and they’ve got the Flo fire south of Florence Lake and it’s approximately 950 hectares right now.

Trueman says crews assisted by helicopters are making good progress on these fires assisted by water bombers when required but the current weather conditions are making them difficult to contain.
