Inspired by her daughter’s treatment for ovarian cancer Paulette Adolphe has started a special fund raising walk. She says she is walking the kilometers it takes to walk to Winnipeg which Global maps tells her is 760 kilometers. She is walking to Winnipeg so she can take part in the 2017 Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope which is set to happen September 10th so she is walking a minimum of 5 mile or 7 kilometers a night in and round Flin Flon to add up to the total kilometers which will get her to Winnipeg so she can participate in the walk with her daughter.
Earlier this week Adolphe was approaching the distance to the Easterville road turnoff at number six highway. She has pledge sheets with her or you can find them at VA Flin Flon and the Big Dipper on Main Street and she will turn all funds raised over to her daughter’s team Amanda’s Roses at the Winnipeg walk and they will go to supporting ovarian cancer programs at Cancer Care Manitoba.
