Several Students Were Recognized With Awards.

 

  Frontier Collegiate in Cranberry Portage celebrated their graduation last week with 35 graduates and 26 awards presented. The Governor General Medallion for highest marks was presented to Katelyn Saultier, the L. Krueger award to Desiree Patterson, the J.F. Orchard award to Leon Spence, United Steelworkers to Sam Pruden who also received the Gary Wesner award and Adult Ed Honors.  The R.J Merrill award went to Alanna Disbrowe who also received the Friends of Frontier, FCI School Committee, Extra Curricular, Duke of Edinburgh awards, the RCMP Bursary and shared the Arctic Beverages award with Wally Wood who also received the Carpentry award.  The Sherwood award went to Corbin Linklater, the Sakootchetaw award to Gina Cook as well as the Jennisen award and she and Byron Ducharme were Senior Athletes of the Year. Other awards included Adult Ed Achievement Chasity Reber, LUD Citizenship Denis Gagne, Roger J. Carrier award Alexi Tssessaze, Opasquiak Shane Thomas, NTC Power Mechanics Robert Brightnose, and the Tom Lindsey award to Destiny Bear.
