The meeting was attended by teacher Daniel Dillon and five of the twenty-five students who traveled to the Netherlands over spring break. The theme of the trip was architecture and agriculture including several tours following this theme in Amsterdam, Arnhem where the Canadian Memorial Cemetery is located, Rotterdam, The Hague, The Delft and Leiden (lie den). Dillon requested permission for their next trip in 2019 to Germany, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
Also at the meeting some changes were made to school administration following the announcement of the appointment of Ruth Betts School Principal Tammy Ballantyne as Assistant Superintendent. Current Vice-Principal Amber Zerbin has been appointed Principal of Ruth Betts but since she will be on leave next year Mark Lucas will serve at Acting Principal and Mike McLellan as Acting Vice-Principal all effective September 5th.
