Today is International Women’s Day. Flin Flon Women’s Resource Center’s Barb Hopkinson says the day is celebrated globally in honor of the remarkable contributions of women to society. She says the day also commemorates the inspiring role of women around the world to secure women’s rights and build a more equitable society.  She adds Women’s Day also remembers the voices of many women that go unheard and who continue to be dominated from securing their rights and realizing their full potential.

The theme for International Women’s Day this year is Be Bold For Change and is a call on the masses or yourself to help forge a better working world and a more gender inclusive world.
