The Annual Bust the Winter Blues Festival resulted in a busy weekend.  The Committee’s Caitlin Bailey says a lot of people came out to their events Saturday.  She says they had about 135 at their breakfast, 150 at the Rotary Wheel and another 150 out at the Family Dance so they had a lot of people and it was awesome.

The Family Fishing derby yesterday saw 40 fishers out on Phantom Lake with 12 fish caught.  The largest was a 37 inch 11 and a half pound jackfish caught by nine year old Nickolai Tetloff.  A new event the Turkey Slide was won by Virginia Gardiner with her turkey landing two inches from the button.  Snow shoe races were won by Jacob Cehaan for ages 7 to 9, Caleb Janzen 10 to 12, Taylor Robinson 13 to 16 and adults Adam Ricard.
