The Annual Bust the Winter Blues Festival is being held this weekend. Committee member and Creighton Recreation Director Channa Senyk says they have a lot of events planned starting with the Kinettes Trivia Night which is a very popular event on Friday evening in the Flin Flon Community Hall.  She adds then Saturday morning the highlight of the day is the pancake breakfast at the Friendship Center hall starting at 9 o’clock followed by the Craft Show at St. Ann’s Church at 10 o’clock and come down to the Rotary Wheel at 1 o’clock for a fun afternoon and don’t forget the fireworks at 7 o’clock over the Creighton soccer field.

The Festival also includes a Mardi Gras Family Fun Night starting at 7 Saturday in the Creighton Community Hall and the Family Fishing Derby Sunday on Phantom Lake with registration at 11:30. Due a shortage of snow they have had to cancel the horse sleigh rides and the Border Explorers Snowmobile Frozen Aces Derby.
