Information Sessions are Available on Dementia.

 

The Primary Health Care Center will be hosting a series of telehealth seminars presented by the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.  The Society’s First Link Coordinator Marilyn Maartense says they are part of Telehealth Family Education for Those Experiencing Dementia.  She says the first one is on Tuesday, February 21st from 6:30 to 8 and the presentation will be a community outreach worker that is presenting on community mental health roles and services and how this could support a person with dementia and their friends and caregiver.

             

The sessions are held at the Primary Health Care Center.  The March 21st session will be Understanding Psychoses and Anxiety and the April 25th session will cover Food and Nutrition.  To register for the seminars online go to www.alzheimer.mb.ca or email outreach@alzheimer.mb.ca or phone 1-800-378-6699 and use the reference code Flin Flon.
