More Information Once a Week.

Publisher of the Reminder Valerie Durnin advises that effective this week their newspaper will publish once a week with larger editions and more local content.  She says they are coming out on Wednesdays and they’re doing that because for readers and advertisers both it’s a good day for them to get the information out so people can make their plans for the weekend, so businesses who place their ads with them and also people who are just looking for what’s happening around town will be able to find what they need in one place.  She adds they also did a readers survey last year and they asked a lot of things about the newspaper and what people liked and there were some suggestions that asked for the weekly paper.

At the same time the price for the paper will increase to $1.50.

The Reminder launched in 1946 publishing six days a week. The schedule changed to five days a week in the late 1970s, to three days a week in 2005 and two days a week in 2015.
