Three Local Artists Are Part of a Provincial Show.

The 14th annual Manitoba Arts Network’s Rural and Northern Art Show is coming up in August.  It features award winning artworks in a variety of media by artists from rural and northern Manitoba submitted to the Regional Juried Art Shows held across Manitoba each year and is attended by over three thousand patrons.  This year’s show features 32 artists including three Flin Flon first place finishers at this year’s Northern Juried Art Show.  They are Matthew Enns for water color painting, Margaret Britton in digital art and photography and Doug Dymitriw in three dimensional art.

The Network states the show provides an opportunity for artists in the north and rural regions to present their work to an urban audience and gives Winnipeg audiences an idea of the scope of work being created outside the perimeter by rural and northern artists. The show is being held in the Assiniboine Park Pavilion Gallery in Winnipeg and is open from 9 to 5 August 6th to 28th.
