You Can Learn More About a Northern Prospector.

The Aurora Borealis Arts Council is presenting the story of Kate Rice and the Herb Town Settlement every Saturday at the Snow Lake Motor Inn.  The Inn’s Gerard Lamontagne says it continues presentations from past summers about a pioneer who prospected in the Snow Lake, Flin Flon and Thompson areas of northern Manitoba starting in 1913. He explains its basically a third script in the continuing saga of the story of Kate with Brooke Davies doing the acting this past Saturday and she will for most of the summer.  He says it’s going a little more in depth to Kate’s life in the north, her relationship with Richard Woosey and a little more in depth to the business side of things as they were sort of victimized a bit by the mining companies.

Lamontagne says the play is written and produced locally adapted out of the Kate Rice book.  It is performed every Saturday over the summer at one o’clock at the Snow Lake Motor Inn.
