The Freedom Outreach Program in Denare Beach held their annual Freedom Walk Saturday. 27 walkers took part and so far 57 hundred dollars has been raised. They continue to collect pledges until the end of June.
The Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce held their annual radio auction on Saturday. They raised close to 5 thousand dollars for Chamber projects.
The Flin Flon Motorcycle Association held a successful 24th annual Run to the Border Saturday. The winner of their draw for a 2016 Harley Davidson Classic Motorcycle was Brad Slugoski. They collected a truck load of gifts for the Friendship Center’s Children’s Gift Program with gifts still being dropped off at the Center. Funds they raised will go to the Wish Foundation and A Port in the Storm which is a residence for northern patients traveling to Winnipeg for treatment.
And the MS Society held their annual MS Walk at Bakers Narrows Sunday afternoon. They are still totaling up the results of their event.
