Around 7:30 this morning an employee was working on a propane truck in the garage at Stittco when an explosion occurred.  The garage was destroyed and the employee was injured and is being treated in hospital.

The propane truck was not badly damaged but a car parked nearby suffered heavy damage. The garage was totally leveled with pieces spread across the lot and across Third Avenue to the Gas Bar.  Firefighters remained on the scene spraying water to cool down the tank on the truck.

The cause of the explosion has not been determined.
