The top mine rescue team at Hudbay in Flin Flon has been chosen following the annual competition among the Company’s mine rescue teams. Mine Safety’s Olaf Hettrick says the team member include Captain Trevor Thurston who is a senior mine planner at Triple Seven, Mike Desjarlais and Dale Holmgren who are development miners at Triple Seven, Damien Dominie who’s a development miner at Reed Lake, Travis Pfoh a large hole driller at Triple Seven, Dave Green an electrician at Triple Seven and their Director of Operations is Don Last the operations manager at Triple Seven.
Hettrick says the team will compete in the provincial competition being held May 27th and 28th at Vale’s T-3 Mine in Thompson. Other teams competing will be Vale from Thompson, Hudbay from Snow Lake and Tanco from Lac du Bonnet.
