Statistics Canada has announced that the 2016 Census is almost here with collection beginning this month across the country.  They report you will soon be receiving their census letter in the mail with instructions on how to complete their questionnaire on line.  A toll-free number will also be included for respondents who would prefer to request a paper questionnaire.

They remind you that Census information is important for all communities and is used in planning services such as child care, schooling, public transportation, housing, skills training for employment and police and fire services.  Census data is also used in making decisions for communities, provinces and territories and the country as a whole.
