The Process Has Started For a Property to Change Hands.

As we reported last week the North of 53 Consumers Co-op has decided to purchase the Armories lot on highway 10A next to Twin Motors for a new store.  At their meeting last night Flin Flon City Council passed a resolution for the signing of an agreement with the Co-op to begin the process of transferring the lot to the Co-op.  City Administrator Mark Kolt says the City which has a lease on the property will now purchase it from the province and then sell it to the Co-op at what it cost them to purchase it.

Council also passed a resolution to enter into an agreement with Northern Buslines to have them operate the municipal bus service until next September.  This could change if the Buslines sold their garage before that time.  The resolution also confirmed as they announced at their last meeting the city is no longer interested in purchasing the garage.
