Pledges Will Support Breast Cancer Research.

Preparations are underway for the annual Breast Cancer Pledge Ride North.  Organizer Paulette Wotton says it’s about fund raising and awareness.  She says the idea is getting together of like minded motorcyclists raising money for the cause of the fight against breast cancer.  She says they gather each year, this being their third annual ride, and the money raised is dedicated for northern Manitoba for a project through Cancer Care Manitoba.

The ride starts on Sunday, August 2nd at the Gateway. Pledge forms are available at VA Services below the Co-op store and with a minimum of 40 dollars in pledges you can take part in the ride to Gyles Park, a barbeque lunch, a poker derby on the way back to Flin Flon and an evening of local entertainment a the Rotary Wheel.
