Everyone Has to Watch Out For a Disease From Ticks.

While Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia and southern Manitoba have the most reports of Lyme Disease, it’s not contained to those regions.  Jim Wilson with the Canadian Lyme Disease foundation says it can be contracted anywhere in Canada as long as you have robins coming to you neighborhood in the spring and your wrens and finches and other migrating birds then you’re at risk of having Lyme Disease in your area because it’s these birds that not only carry the disease in their blood to infect ticks that jump aboard, they carry these ticks thousands of miles.

Wilson recommends removing bird feeders from your yard in the summer to avoid attracting birds that can carry infected ticks.
