Employees Are Being Bused Into Hudbay.

As the strike by the International Association of Machinists Local 1848 entered its third week Hudbay began busing employees to work over the weekend.  Hudbay Vice-President of the Manitoba Business Unit Rob Winton explains they brought buses out to ensure their employees were allowed an opportunity to get through the line as quickly as possible.  He says they were able to sign a picket line protocol with the IAM which also assists in the ability of their employees to get to work which is the legal right of Hudbay.

Meanwhile members of the United Steelworkers Local 7106 continue to vote today on giving their negotiating committee a strike mandate. They enter another round of negotiations with Hudbay with the assistance of a conciliation officer next week.
