Community Futures Greenstone is asking you to nominate outstanding volunteers. Manager Bunny Burke says anyone in the Flin Flon area can nominate someone to receive a volunteer award. She says they’re looking for names of individuals with a bit of a biography so the selection committee can make their choice. She says it can be a student, adult, male, female, anyone that would be deserving of recognition for their work in the community.
Burke adds they hope to honor four volunteers from Flin Flon, two from Creighton and two from Denare Beach. Nominations can be dropped of at the Greenstone Office above Pharmasave or mailed to them at suite 228-35 Main Street in Flin Flon. The deadline is July 31st. Those receiving awards will be invited to the annual Celebrating Communities Gala in October to receive a gift and certificate of recognition.
