Area Buildings Are Seeing Improvements

The Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification Michelle Rempel has announced support for several community infrastructure projects across northern Manitoba under the Government of Canada’s Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund.

             

In this area the City of Flin Flon receives just over ten thousand dollars for renovations to the Camp Whitney mess hall where upgrades included LED lighting, replaced flooring and an additional propane heater.  The Cranberry Portage Heritage Museum Corporation receives just over 46 thousand dollars for their restoration of the former railway station as a heritage museum site with repairs including new insulation, installation of a geothermal heating and cooling unit, replacing the roof, repairing windows and painting.  The Town of Snow Lake receives just over 30 thousand dollars for upgrading the heating and air conditioning system at the Snow Lake Community Hall increasing the energy efficiency of the building.
