Progressive Conservative MLA Myrna Driedger was in Flin Flon yesterday to launch their framework for a northern strategy.  Driedger who is chair of the Strategy Committee says it is a starting point for discussions on the north.  She says at meetings in Flin Flon and other centers several issues have come forward.  She says one of the issues no matter which northern community is the seriousness of homelessness that seems to have been growing and may be not as recognized as it needs to be.  She adds affordable housing is certainly another challenge and another point is to ensure that the training programs that happen are actually geared more towards jobs that are needed here in the north.
