The Flin Flon Community Band will perform a concert on Monday evening. Band member Edgar Wright says they will have 15 band members out for the concert and they are going to be playing mostly popular stuff, some of which is very recent like Royals by Lord but they’re going to go all the way back to the 1800’s to do a number by Johann Strauss called the Blue Danube.  He says they’ll include popular stuff like the Hello Goodbye medley from the Beatles, other hits from the Soulful 80’s like I Heard it Through the Grapevine and there’s always The Bohemian Rhapsody by Freddie Mercury.

The concert begins at 7:30 in St. Ann’s Church on Center Street with no admission charge but there will be a voluntary silver collection to help pay for new music.  The band is always looking for new members and you can find them rehearsing Monday evenings at 7:30 at St. Ann’s.
