Students Are Helping in Building a Home

On Sunday the Sunday School class from Cornerstone Church walked to the Habitat for Humanity home being built by the Habitat 53° Chapter at 189 Steventon Boulevard. Sunday School Coordinator Deb Odegaard says they brought a donation for the home.  She says their Sunday School kids need a project every fall so this year they decided to raise money for the Habitat home here in Flin Flon and the children brought their nickels, dimes, loonies and toonies every Sunday and they were able to raise 408 dollars, the church topped it up to the 500 dollar mark and at the last minute they got some more rolls of pennies so they were able to present over 500 dollars.

In accepting the donation Habitat Treasurer Kathy McCormick said the money will help purchase doors and windows for the home.
