On Saturday, Sept 23rd at the City Hall Parking Lot, starting at 10am and ending at 2pm; people are able to dispose their household hazardous waste.

 

Commercial Removal of Hazardous Waste for Buisnesses must call: Miller Environment @ 204-925-9600 to make prior arrangements.

Directions of disposal:

-Materials must be in original containers

-Containers must be clearly labelled

-Individual products must be seperated

 

Accepted products:

-Paint (Latex and oil based)

-Pesticides/Insecticides

-Acids

-Paint Strippers

-Propane

-Acetylene

-Drain Cleaners

-Glues

-Gas (Must be in approved container that won't be returned)

-Polishes/Wax

-Household Cleaners

-Degreasers

-Aerosol Cans

-Rust Removers

-Solvents

-Mercury Thermometers

-Bleach

-Fluorescent Lights

-Varnish Removers

 

*Batteries will be accepted and taken to landfill collection site for later removal.

* Used oil/filters and antifreeze will not be accepted as it is disposed of at the used oil depot at the landfill on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

*Old medication/sharps will not be accepted. These items can be returned to your pharmacy.

From 2:30PM to 4:00PM

There will be a meet draw today at the New Horizons building in Denare Beach. (2100 Spruce Street)
