"It's Too Heavy" Workshop @ the YWCA

From 1:00PM to 3:00PM

The YWCA will be hosting an Informational Session Thursday, September 21 (1:00-3:00pm) for women interested in entering non-traditional careers.  The session is call "It's too Heavy and Other Myths about Women and Work".  The afternoon will be offered free of charge and will include some career information, refreshments, activities and some guest Speakers (women who are successfully working in non-traditional areas).  The event will be held in the YWCA Women's Centre (1st floor, Room 115) and everyone is invited.

 

 

Free To Be Me

From 1:30PM to 3:30PM

Free To Be Me is a support group for those with a mental illness. The group meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at the St. Peter and St. James Anglican Church. For more information, contact Judy at 306-362-2305.

Take Back the Night Walk

Take Back the Night is an event with the purpose of unifying everyone and bringing awareness about the violence in our streets. We're gathering together at Robin's Donuts on Sept 21st at 6pm and we'll set out on the Take Back the Night walk after listening to some speakers.

Alliance Church Youth Group

From 7:00PM to 9:00PM

The Alliance Church Youth Group meets every Thursday from 7 - 9 pm for ages 11 - 18 at the Alliance Church, 237 Green Street. It is free to attend and all are welcome! NorVA Centre- Annual General Meeting

Open to the public, held at NorVA. Ideas and responses to the last years accomplishments will be called for after the meeting in concluded. 

Jamming And Craft Night

Jamming and craft night is held every Thursday night in Denare Beach at New Horizons (2100 Spruce Street) beginning at 7pm. Feel free to bring any crafts, or instruments. All adults welcome.
